Ramadhan & Eid: What Happened? (Retrospective) [Sep 2015~ Refined]

This is my old draft for an article I intended to publish but now refined from mistakes are here as follows.

Ramadhan/Ramzan is a month of patience and tolerance observation where we fast in every aspect. It's a fantastic moment in our lives as we dedicate ourselves to our faith and time to our religious duties and "shaytan(devils)" are locked away or that is what I've heard. But frankly speaking there are lot of topics to discuss but we are focusing on this month being a commodity for the private channels and I might sound "offensive" but I do have a right to speak my mind. Behold the Talk-shows and exclusive dramas that specifically air during this time, and even if its religious content mostly some of the segments are well cringe in presentation.

Before these transmissions were a regular thing in years since these things have never existed to such degree in today's era. This all began with the person named Aamir Liaqat Hussain, so he is once of our country's well known faces of our media and is known well for these transmissions, in fact he has doing for over several years even I don't remember as  stopped watching the TV a long time ago, now initially these things were nice at one time but as each year went by things began to take strange and absurd as every month of Ramadan came with these segments and every TV Channels would lace up their boots and then plan and produce several content for the entire month.

Lets take example of Two main channels: GEO TV & ARY Entertainment. Both of the channels have game shows the notorious "Inaam Ghar" and "Jeeto Pakistan". Both have segments in which audience are crazy as the host is handing out various items In one the host might ask question testing the knowledge but the demand is " Aamir bhai laptop chaiye!?", "Fahad bhai ek bike".

Even when the individual has given the answer wrong still the demand is their and lets not forget the acts of the hosts and the audience members selected for a segment involving a really goofy game or mini-competition where host tells them do this nonsense stuff to earn a reward. And things will get continue to progress in the opposite way. Before the current transmission was made popular times were just simpler alas every year we get this.

Guess what happens on Eid? The Answer is what you probably thought of.

So assuming this will go on and on for next few years one could simply turn off TV and spend the month with ease. Now sure you have really good stuff in between but most of the time its like this and now every other channel ripped off this idea and each one is trying to get at the top of the mountain.

Where nights are suppose to be praying to Allah we are busy with our other lives or watching the nonsense in the TV as usual. Even I too am equally guilty for this.
Now from all this nosnsense I better get a life.

Hike to Jahaz Banda: How Four Friends Spent Their Vacation?

The following article/blog has been revised for errors and other mistakes. It's been almost four months since our trip to Kumrat Valley, Swat. It was so sudden that it felt like ages since we went somewhere other than some random area in Lahore.  To catch up with the story, this is how it went down,   my close friend Hamza wanted to go somewhere for a trip. Often he would go with his classmates from National College of Arts or with his family. He asked me and another guy about a trip to  Kumrat Valley  in Khyber-Pakhtunkwa(KPK) that some traveling agency that planned out the locations to visit. Talha, the other friend declined to come due to his existing job commitments.  Naturally, I was the only one left so he kept asking me. During that conversation I was more with Talha, he suggested to rather travel in a personal group then to be part of caravan full of strangers.  Eventually, in span of one week we planned out everything from party members,...

Wildebeests and Great Migration: Witness A Grand Race of Survival

East Africa is home to various creatures in the wildlife, several nature reserves are home magnificent creatures like gorillas, hyenas, lions, crocodiles, wildebeest and more. The Great Migration is an amazing event where millions of wildebeest along with gazelles and zebras travel around the grasslands each year. It’s one of nature’s puzzling phenomenon where they travel Serengeti, Tanzania to Masai Nara, Kenya ,   in the search for food found in those gaming reserves, during the course at least 250,000 wildebeests perish due to starvation, exhaustion, and predation. You are likely to find the blue wildebeests traveling in the herds unlike their nomadic relatives, the black wildebeests, native to South Africa. Due to variable rain cycles every year, their movement pattern may change along with location sometimes. But the herd will always return to their original location before starting another one.
