So, quite a while since I have written something useful for me.
Today's topic if you have seen the title is based on paper based packaging versus plastic based packaging.
Both of these type are used in various industries all over the world, each has its pro's and cons. Packaging is sort of a cover that protects your item (product) from outside hazards like weather. It also can be durable and act as promotional piece for the product in retail market.
Generally the packaging boxes can be divided into two main categories: Paper and Plastic
Paper-based packaging consists of packaging boxes or add-ons made from materials like cardboard, corrugated paper, Kraft paper and rigid body. This packaging is preferred due to its lower environmental impact and being a suitable alternative to plastic, but since it is made from wood so this factor serves as a criticism.
Plastic packaging is synthetic packaging based on crude oil and has the advantage of being useful at those areas where paper based packaging has no use or limited use. This packaging is criticized for giving high level of pollution, huge environmental impact. Common plastic packaging polystyrene, polyethylene , PVC etc.
My opinion is simple, both are just okay, each has their own great stuff. Heck even traces of plastic like lamination is common in cardboard and Kraft packages. There are some innovation made to make plastic less damaging to the environment though.
Regardless of whatever the packaging you use, It is your choice and way of disposal that factors the most.
